Halocarbon® 700 Oil

ISO VG 680 high-viscosity PCTFE inert lubricant. It replaces hydrocarbon lubricants in low-speed, high-load bearings, gearboxes and pumps in reactive-media environments such as oxygen and chlorine. No flash point — nonflammable. Korea stock available, ready to ship.

Halocarbon 700 Oil viscosity-temperature curve

It forms an ISO VG 680-class oil film near room temperature, and as the operating temperature rises the viscosity stabilizes quickly (17 cSt at 99°C). It combines high-load protection at start-up with low churning resistance in normal operation.

SERIES POSITION

Position within the series — choosing Halocarbon Oil by viscosity

700 is the second-highest viscosity in the series. If you need a higher viscosity, consider 1000N; for low-temperature environments (below 5°C), consider 200 or 400.

APPLICATIONS

Applications

  • Low-speed, high-load bearings — sliding / rolling bearings of chlorine / oxygen service pumps and blowers
  • Gearboxes — drive elements of reactive-gas handling systems, environments where hydrocarbon gear oils cannot be used
  • Pumps · valves — high-load friction parts in chlor-alkali processes and oxygen-charging equipment
  • High-temperature operating equipment — holds 17 cSt even at 99°C
HANDLING

Handling precautions

Avoid contact with alkali metals such as sodium and potassium, amine-based additives, liquid fluorine and liquid chlorine trifluoride (ClF₃). Operating temperature limit 260°C (500°F). Avoid use on aluminum / magnesium surfaces subject to high shear forces (threaded fasteners, etc.). Review the MSDS before application — the latest genuine HQ TDS/MSDS/COA is provided immediately on request below.
