Established in New Jersey, USA as a fluorochemistry specialist. Its early products were special-purpose lubricants for the U.S. military, and meeting the high-performance requirements of military navigation systems and mechanical components laid the foundation for its later move into aerospace.
Supplied gyroscope fluids for the navigation systems of the crewed Apollo lunar program. The stability of PCTFE was proven under extreme temperatures and oxygen environments — the decisive period in which it began to establish itself as a standard solution for the aerospace industry.
